Submissions open to the Suicide Prevention Hub

Posted 3rd May 2018

Life in Mind are pleased to share the official launch of Suicide Prevention Australia’s Suicide Prevention Hub: Best Practice Programs and Services. Launched 30 April, 2018 by The Minister for Health, the Hon. Greg Hunt, the Suicide Prevention Hub is the first investment made by the Federal Government’s $12 million National Suicide Prevention Research Fund. The Suicide Prevention Hub (The Hub) will host best practice suicide prevention programs and services that have been evaluated for quality and safety in Australia against a set of program criteria developed by SPA and their expert advisory group and independently assessed by expert reviewers.

The Hub is an online resource supporting communities to find quality, evaluated, suicide prevention programs and services, and aims to support programs and services submitted to improve the safety and quality of program content and delivery. The Hub also provides opportunities to build capacity of organisations to improve their evaluation or program design through mentoring.

Life in Mind will showcase those programs and services that are listed on The Hub. Organisations are encouraged to submit their programs and services for further evaluation on The Hub.

The Hub can be accessed directly through http://suicidepreventionhub.or... or via the Life in Mind program directory.

If you have any questions about The Hub, get in touch with the team by emailing [email protected]
