All Roses in the Ocean programs and workshops are lived experience informed, designed and delivered by professional facilitators who also have a personal lived experience of suicide.
Our Peer CARE Companion Program is designed to assist people with a lived experience of suicide to see themselves as valuable contributors to suicide prevention and to appreciate what it takes to walk as a peer alongside someone needing support.
The two-day program teaches participants a range of skills that assist them to engage meaningfully and confidently with others who are in emotional pain and distress. A range of activities and opportunities to practice enable participants to consolidate what they have learned. The program also equips participants to understand the importance of daily wellbeing practices and to develop their own robust self-care plan.
This program is designed for people with a direct lived experience of suicide who are looking to support others 1-on-1, have robust self care practices in place and strong support networks. The nature of their lived experience will determine who and where they provide support.
